Our players have been chosen to represent Canada at the Para-Olympic Games, Pan Am Games and Gold Cup . Players range from teenagers to players in their 50's, and include disabled and able bodied athletes. We encourage participation, exercise, training, recreation and competition.
Disability can become a state of mind as well as a physical affliction. Your support helps many disabled athletes participate actively with their able bodied counterparts, away from the confines of hospitals and institutions, thus exercising the minds and bodies of those afflicted with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, polio, amputated limbs and paraplegia.
Thanks to your help, you make dreams possible. Thank you from all wheelchair athletes.
It has only been with the generous assistance of the people of Ontario, that our the Spitfires has grown. Since December of 1976, from a group of seven able-bodied and disabled athletes the association has grown to allow thousands to enjoy the benefits of our programs.
